Hong Kong, 12 February 2025 – ARC Risk Group, the parent company of ARC Ratings and ARC Analytics, has appointed Dr. Stan Ho to its Advisory Board. At the same time, ARC Ratings (Asia Pacific) (ARCAP) has appointed Stan as its Chairman. Both appointments are effective 6 February 2025.
As part of his Chairman role, Stan will be involved in obtaining the regulatory licences and approval required for the credit rating activities of the Group in the Asia Pacific region, determining the regional group strategy and working with Joyce Chi, ARCAP CEO, on various ARCAP initiatives.
As part of his Advisory Board Member role, Stan will provide strategic advice, guidance, and expertise to ARC Risk Group including providing feedback on strategic initiatives and offering insights relevant to the Group’s operations and objectives.
Stan is a seasoned investment banking and credit rating expert, having held senior management positions at global and Chinese credit rating agencies. He has experience working on Asian and Chinese credit ratings and capital market transactions, green finance and ESG ratings. Stan also has ECM, DCM and M&A experience with CS First Boston, Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns.
He was with Fitch Ratings from 2003 to 2013, with his last position as the Head of Non-Japan Asia structured finance group. He was the founding CEO, Executive Director and Responsible Officer of Lianhe Ratings Global Limited between 2017 and 2023.
