London, 8th October 2025.  ARC Ratings is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Steel as Global Head of Corporate Finance and Chief Analytical Development Officer.

At ARC Ratings, Andrew will lead the company’s continued analytical expansion into Corporate Finance and Private Credit, supporting the firm’s ongoing growth into new geographies and product areas beyond its established strength in Structured Finance.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience in credit ratings and financial services, having spent 19 years at Fitch Ratings in a variety of senior roles, including Regional Head of APAC Corporates, Regional Head of EMEA Corporates and Global Head of Sustainable Finance where he played a key role in advancing the firm’s ESG integration and analytical innovation. From 2021 to 2023, he also served as Global Head of Sustainable Fitch, creating and establishing Fitch’s ESG ratings division.

In addition to his leadership experience, Andrew has contributed to the wider financial community through several advisory positions, including as an Advisory Board Member for the UN Principles for Responsible Investment’s Committee for Credit Ratings and Risk (ACCRR) and for OMFIF. Most recently, he served as CEO of Sustainable Strategies Ltd (SSL), a management consultancy focused on sustainability and financial strategy, and is an advisory board member of the London School of Economics’ Transition Pathway Institute Centre.
